STUDENTS INTERESTED IN THE DENTAL FIELD

The S.M.I.L.E. (Student Mentoring with Immersive Learning and Enrichment) Healthcare Pathway Program is a summer program that introduces students to careers in oral health, including: dentist, dental hygienist, dental assistant, or dental office administrators.
This year, the program will be held in Nashville, Tennessee on July 7- 12, 2024 at the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry!
If you are a student in 9th or 10th grade in the 2024-2025 school year, and are interested in a career in a dental office…CHECK THIS OUT!!! 4 NE applications will be chosen for an ALL EXPENSE PAID trip/program.
Student Criteria
🦷 American Indian/Alaska Native students entering 9th and 10th grade in the 2024—2025 school year
🦷 American Indian/Alaska Native students who are interested in learning more about careers in dentistry or the healthcare community
🦷 Required to stay overnight from July 7 – 11, 2024 at Fisk University in Nashville
🦷 Submit a completed and signed application by Parent/Guardian by March 15, 2024 to SAID
🦷 Finalists will be required to participate in an on-camera Zoom interview
🦷 Students who are financially disadvantaged will be given priority
Application Deadline: March 15th
2024 Finalists will receive confirmation before May 31, 2024
